2.1 Photos and Camera Access

When you use PrankAI, you may grant us access to your device's camera and photo library. We use this access solely to:

  • Capture photos for creating prank content
  • Access photos from your library that you choose to use
  • Save generated prank images to your device

Important: Photos are processed temporarily to generate your prank content and are not permanently stored on our servers. Once processing is complete, the original photos are deleted from our systems.

2.2 Account Information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

  • Email address (if using email sign-in)
  • Apple ID information (if using Sign in with Apple)
  • Display name (optional)

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage patterns and features accessed
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • Purchase history within the App

2.4 Purchase Information

When you make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information. We only receive confirmation of your purchase and credit balance.

3. Face Data & Biometric Information

Important: PrankAI processes photos that may contain faces to generate prank images. Here's how we handle this data:

3.1 What We Collect

  • Photos you upload that may contain faces
  • Facial features are processed by our AI to generate modified images

3.2 How We Use Face Data

  • Solely to generate AI prank images you request
  • Processing occurs on secure third-party AI servers (Replicate)
  • We do NOT use face data for facial recognition or identification
  • We do NOT create facial feature databases or templates
  • We do NOT share face data with third parties for their own purposes

3.3 Storage & Retention of Face Data

  • Original photos are processed temporarily and not stored permanently on our servers
  • Processing typically completes in under 60 seconds
  • Generated prank images are stored in your account until you delete them
  • You can delete any image at any time from within the App
  • All face data is permanently deleted when you delete your account

3.4 Your Consent & Responsibilities

  • By uploading a photo, you consent to AI processing of any faces in the image
  • You represent that you have permission to use any faces in photos you upload
  • You should not upload photos of others without their consent
  • You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Process your photos to generate prank content
  • Manage your account and credit balance
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send you technical notices and support messages
  • Respond to your comments and questions
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse

5. Sharing of Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, including:
    • Cloud hosting and database services (Convex)
    • AI image processing services (Replicate)
    • Subscription and payment management (RevenueCat)
    • App analytics and crash reporting
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition, your information may be transferred.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Photos submitted for processing are temporarily stored only during the generation process (typically less than 60 seconds) and are automatically deleted afterward.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
  • Regular security assessments and updates

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
